The order in the dictionary pleases me,
the systematics fill me with enjoyment.
Nevertheless, of the words which I found in it,
the most beautiful is ‘tohu wa-bohu1’. x2
I recognize the importance of good bookkeeping
and of a clear system for receipts and invoices.
Nevertheless, for my own management,
only one word applies: ‘tohu wa-bohu’. x2
The condition of my gardens and house
justifies only one conclusion:
no matter how I try to conform to my proper street,
I cannot be saved from tohu wa-bohu.
